Let's start as your GreenPolicy360 founder/siterunner started on a journey, beginning as a high school student biking on my Schwinn to meet my newly elected Congressional representative, Rep. George E. Brown. George became a friend, then a mentor, then a colleague for over thirty years, from the mid-60s until 1999. In a way, we are continuing a journey of a Generation Green here on these pages.
As you read through our site you will be joining in on a unique quest that in many ways continues the work of a man became known as "Mr. Science".
Let me say, in a personal reveal, George was unusual, a quiet person who, without pushing his own star, led a first generation of big science, government-private sector collaborations that we are all still building on today. Truly... take a close look at the link above about George E.
Engineer Brown was instrumental in bringing the Internet forward with funding, partnerships, forward-looking ventures, research and applied engineering. George was trained in physics and an engineer and when the first digital imaging/scanning devices were invented, he was right there in the middle.... we tell the story. And when Caltech and JPL, and MIT and a range of the best science minds of our generation, coast-to-coast were brought together, he was there doing what he envisioned was a generational project. The project, with innumerable benefits, goes on and on ....
We are carrying on as George Brown as I know George would have wanted us to, but let's start here.
We are, together, continuing to put a foundation in place for future generations -- and ours. This was our goal over the years and it remains so here at GreenPolicy360.
As another man, Joe Schmidt, my father, a builder and German engineer told me with blue-eyed seriousness, 'build your foundations strong'.
Here's to George and Joe and all those who put in place and are continuing to build a strong, visionary future for all.
Now, onward, a vision for the first Earth Day, a vision for a movement.

GreenPolicy360's siterunner, back in the 1990s a member of the NM State Board of Education and a leader of multiple New Mexico's tech initiatives, became the state's member on a new Working Group.
We envisioned, planned, launched a "Virtual University" that we officially called the WGU. We chose an Owl as our mascot. Vision, in a sense as owls do, a 360 vision, and wisdom that comes from knowledge.
